AutoHistoryChecks.com: Delighted Fast And Furious 8 Will Be Made

Here at AutoHistoryChecks.com, watching Fast And Furious 7 was an emotional ride. We loved it, but the AutoHistoryChecks.com staff wondered if the films could go on following the death of Paul Walker.

This is why AutoHistoryChecks.com was delighted this weekend when it was announced that they have started shooting Fast And Furious 8.

The movie will be released on 2017, according to studio officials. They said there was some talk about not making another movie because of Walker’s death. We, however, believe that Walker would have wanted the franchise to continue. And there was a moving tribute to the actor at the end of the most recent film.

Of course, part of the reason that Furious 8 will be made is that the seventh film has already grossed over a billion dollars. But that’s fine. Movies are meant to make money and when they are as thrilling as the Fast and Furious series, we think it’s great – because it shows us that the world loves cars just as much as we do. The show must go on!

AutoHistoryChecks.com: Will Americans Accept A Car Made In China?

AutoHistoryChecks.com is your friend when it comes to trends in the auto industry. We are here to make sure the AutoHistoryChecks.com readers know what is going on.

But we also want to hear from you. So, today AutoHistoryChecks.com wants to know if you think the American public will accept a car made in China.

It’s not an academic question. There has never before been a line of cars made in China that have been sold in America. But last week, Volvo announced they are building a factory in China to build their cars and hoping to export them to the United States.

Some people in the industry think this is a bad move. They argue that although people buy many products that are made in China, the American auto industry is the backbone of our economy and people simply won;t accept it.

Beyond that, they argue, people buy Volvos for the known quality of their Europe factories. Who can say that Chinese factories will build cars that are as good?

Other people think that the lower prices for Volvos made in China will draw in consumers. We are not sure either way. Tell us what you think about cars made in China in the comment section below!

AutoHistoryChecks.com: Bluetooth Parking Signs A Great Idea

AutoHistoryChecks.com knows that if you live or work in a city, parking is the worst part of owning a car. At AutoHistoryChecks.com, we know that most city parking signs make no sense at all and seem almost designed to ensure you’ll get a ticket.

Because of that AutoHistoryChecks.com is delighted that Los Angeles is finally creating parking signs that people will be able to understand.

The concept is fairly simple. The signs will be equipped with Bluetooth transmitters. All you have to do is hold up a Bluetooth-enabled phone next to the sign, and it will tell you if it is legal to park there and for how long.

Since nearly all smartphones have Bluetooth, this will make things easier for a lot of people. Plus, it means that officials will have to deal with fewer illegally parked cars. It will also help out tourists who may not speak the language.

All in all, it’s an idea whose time has come; it will help people, and will work in the real world. When it comes to parking signs, that’s a huge step forward.

AutoHistoryChecks.com hopes the pilot program works, and we hope other countries pick up on the idea soon. It would mean one less headache in life.

AutoHistoryChecks.com: Don’t Fall for Supercar Kickstarter Scams

AutoHistoryChecks.com doesn’t want you to get ripped off in any way. And AutoHistoryChecks.com does our best to keep you informed about scams related to buying cars.

This week, AutoHistoryChecks.com wants to warn you about a new but growing type of rip-off – the Kickstarter Supercar.

Kickstarter is a company that allows people to put up business ideas online in order to seek investors. In general, small, honest companies do this when they need a little bit of startup money. But there is very little oversight, so scam artists have moved in to take advantage of some people.

Right now, there are dozens of Kickstarters from companies that claim they want to create a “Supercar,” and that they need enough money to get a small factory going for the car. They go on to say that if you invest a somewhat small amount of money, you’ll get one of the prototypes when they are done.

The scam is that they never intend to build any of the cars at all. They simply want to see how many people they can get to contribute and then walk away with the money.

The trick to avoiding this scam is to know that it would take so much money to build a new car factory, no company would ever be able to do so through Kickstarter.

AutoHistoryChecks.com Hopes Furious 7 Does Win Best Picture!

AutoHistoryChecks.com has one series of movies we are obsessed with – The Fast And The Furious franchise – and we bet the AutoHistoryChecks.com readers love it too. If you like cars, then you like The Fast And The Furious and are excited over the upcoming release of Furious 7.

This is why we want to go on the record – even though we’ve never seen the film – that we at AutoHistoryChecks.com believe that it should win Best Picture at the Oscars this year.

Why do we think this? Because Vin Diesel says so, and we trust him. Recently he was out promoting Furious 7 and this is what he had to say:

“Universal is going to have the biggest movie in history with this movie. It will probably win best picture at the Oscars, unless the Oscars don’t want to be relevant ever.”

Who are we to argue with Vin Diesel? He’s in the film, he knows the script, and he’s seen the finished product. If he thinks that it is up there with The Godfather and Chariots of Fire, we believe him.

So, all you wannabes out there with your films about human suffering, history, the state of humanity, and so called “art movies,” you should just give up now. We already know what movie is going to take every award at the Oscars this year.

Trust us, it’s a lock.

AutoHistoryChecks.com: This Spring Is The Time To Buy A German Car

AutoHistoryChecks.com loves American cars. But AutoHistoryChecks.com also knows that some of the best automotive engineering in the world comes from Germany. There is nothing like driving a BMW or a Mercedes.

The problem for many AutoHistoryChecks.com people, however, is that German cars are often far more expensive than American or Japanese cars. But that’s going to change – and if you’ve ever wanted a German car, you may get your chance in the next few months.

The reason why is simple economics. The United States economy is growing, and the Europe economy is still stuck in a deep recession. This has caused the value of the euro to plummet. While a euro was worth nearly $1.40 a few months ago, it is now worth $1.05. And economists think that a month or two from now it will be worth even less than a dollar.

That means the cost of buying anything from Europe will be at least 40 percent cheaper than last year come the middle of spring. That includes cars.

So, if you’ve every thought about buying a fine German automobile but been put off by the price, you may be able to suddenly get a great deal.

But you’ll have to take advantage of this as quickly as possible. Currency markets are always in a state of flux, so you should strike while the iron is hot.

AutoHistoryChecks.com: It’s Awesome Smart Cars Can Beat Video Games

AutoHistoryChecks.com is keeping close tabs on Google’s development of a self-driving car. From Day One, AutoHistoryChecks.com has been convinced that self-driving cars will save many lives. Beyond that, it’s interesting to see what they are doing to get the cars ready for the public.

This week’s announcement – that they have been teaching the cars to play video games – seems super fun!

The biggest challenge for developing self-driving cars is to teach the artificial intelligence (AI) that operates them how to anticipate and overcome unexpected events. The way the AI works is that by learning simple tasks, it can then teach itself about more complex tasks in the future.

So, Google has gotten the AI in the cars to start playing old-school Atari 2600 games. And what they’ve found is that so far, the AI is better at Space Invaders than any human in the history of the world!

But it has more trouble with Ms. Pac Man – mostly because it gets confused and sometimes it eats the ghosts. But, it’s getting better.

This is, quite simply, awesome. Over time, we can imagine the cars playing Call of Duty against each other or even Final Fantasy.

We are truly living in the future!

AutoHistoryChecks.com: Toyota Needs To Pick Between Android Smart Car Systems

AutoHistoryChecks.com is glad that car makers are doing everything they can to bring out new features for the automobiles they produce. And AutoHistoryChecks.com thinks that using smartphone technology in the dashboard is the wave of the future.

But AutoHistoryChecks.com also thinks there needs to be some standardization, which is why we are upset that Toyota still seems to be going their own way when it comes to smart car systems.

Right now, Apple Car Play and Android Auto are the standard for smart dashboards – much like Apple and Android operating systems are the standard for cell phones. More than 90 percent of new cars with smart car systems use one or the other.

But not Toyota. They have announced that they will use neither – and will instead develop their own system.

We think this is a mistake. The more comfortable people are with a dashboard system, the safer they will be while driving. This means that if they can choose a system like Apple or Android that they are already used to, they will be less distracted when they are on the road. Forcing them to learn a new system not related to either is dangerous and a bad idea.

Two standards are enough. Making people who want to buy a Toyota learn an entirely new system will lead to more crashes and put everyone on the road in danger.

So please, Toyota – pick one of the systems, and let people decide which one is right for them. It’s better in the long term.

AutoHistoryChecks.com Says, “Bring On The All-Female Ghostbusters!”

Here at AutoHistoryChecks.com, we don’t just think about cars. We are regular people just like you. And from time to time, AutoHistoryChecks.com likes to use this blog to talk about what’s on the mind of our staff.

Today we want to talk about an issue that has come up in the AutoHistoryChecks.com break room – the new Ghostbusters movie.

Yesterday the new cast for the film was announced, and it turns out that the Ghostbusters will all be female. This has created outrage on the Internet – with many middle-aged men very angry that there will be no dude Ghostbusters.

We think these guys should get over it. Changing the formula a bit will make the movie interesting. The original Ghostbusters are either dead or too old to be in a new film – and having women in the movie will make it more interesting. Beyond that, this is 2015 – why can’t women bust ghosts?

Those who say this will wreck their childhood should learn some perspective. If you don’t like the idea, don’t see the new movie. As for us, we ain’t afraid of no girl ghostbusters!

AutoHistoryChecks.com Loves The Idea Of FlightCar

AutoHistoryChecks.com knows just how important it is to be able to drive a car when you need one. And like most people, we at AutoHistoryChecks.com are tired of the high fees that car rental companies charge you when you fly into a new city.

For these reasons, we are really excited about a new company called FlightCar. We think it could revolutionize the car rental business.

FlightCar is based on the AirBnB concept. When you are going to be out of town or not using your car for a few days, you can list it on FlightCar. Then someone can use an app to rent the car directly from you while they are in town. FlightCar will collect the payment and keep a percentage of it. In exchange, they will insure your car for up to $1 million while the renter is driving it.

It’s great for everyone involved. People who don’t need their cars can make passive income, risk-free. People who are traveling but don’t want to deal with high airport rental rates can get a car to drive for a good price. And the company will make money.

We believe that this service will become very popular, very quickly. And we think that services like this that fill a hole in the marketplace should be supported.

Therefore, as soon as FlightCar is available in our area, we are going to try it out. Then, we’ll write a blog post telling you if it works as well as we hope!
